I recently got back in the pool and it feels like home. I swim and it's meditative. I count. I remember what the sunshine feels and looks like when I take my breaths as I swim across Cayuga Lake for Women Swimmin' on the second Saturday of every August. I try to remember to kick more as my dad used to be in disbelief that as a competitive swimmer, I would hardly kick when I did freestyle...I guess that's why I was a breastroker. I swim and I think of relatives, clients and friends who've been served by hospice and bereavement support. I think of the amazing staff and beautiful residence at Hospicare. I swim and breathe. I am alive. I swim in support of Hospicare.
Thank YOU for supporting Hospicare and my 1.2 mile swim across Cayuga Lake each summer.
