Welcome to Carol's Page - I'm Swimmin' Cayuga Lake!
I'm participating in Women Swimmin' to raise money for Hospicare & Palliative Care Services. The funds I raise will provide medical expertise and emotional, spiritual and practical support to patients and their families.
Your donation to Women Swimmin' will help make this important end-of-life care available to anyone in Tompkins or Cortland counties who needs it--regardless of their ability to pay.
Hello Friends and Family - I have decided to challenge myself and swim a distance of 1.2 miles across Cayuga Lake - our spectacular Finger Lake in Ithaca, New York - just minutes from our 'new' home. I'm very excited and to be honest, a bit anxious, but I am determined. Through the planning phase for this unique event, I have met outstanding women who are not only talented swimmers, but kind and caring individuals and swim for a purpose. Can you think of a better reason? Hospice and Palliative Care Services support so many critically ill individuals and their families every day; providing warm, nurturing support through end-of-life processes and decisions. They give fully and completely. While I hope no one I know and love will need Hospice, we all recognize its value and place in our community. I humbly ask for your participation by pledging for this cause and of course, your contribution will support me as I swim Cayuga Lake with my team - keeping each of you close to my heart with love for your generosity. I thank you and send the warmest wishes for good health.
Just a follow-up.... thanks to you, I am well on my way to meeting my goal.... I will get there because all of you appreciate the value and strength of Hospice in this and all communities. I thank you from my heart and send love to each of you...I am training hard to make you all proud!
And another follow up - I've met my goal, thanks to the generosity and support of my friends and family and now, I am increasing my goal - for this incredible cause that I believe in with all my heart..... Carol
